U-WEI’S SHADOW
We are seeking talented young or new filmmakers to help us make a 10 minutes mini documentary about U-Wei and his journey with Hanyut. If you think you are the filmmaker we are looking for - all you need to do is upload a 90 seconds video clip on our website. We will allow our fans to comment, and U-Wei will pick the winner himself.

Who should join the competition?
Anyone really.  If you are interested in filmmaking and currently looking for opportunity to do it, well here’s the chance. 

What type of video should I send in?
The 90 seconds video should be on or inspired by U-Wei Bin HajiSaari or his work.  It is your interpretation of U-Wei and or his work.  It should be a fun, lighthearted perspective on U-Wei and /or his work.  The video clip however, should not be offensive to anybody and should not break any laws in Malaysia.

What can I expect if my video is chosen?
Tanah Licin Sdn Bhd will bear the cost of making the 10 minutes mini documentary about U-Wei and his journey in making the film Hanyut.  You will get full access to the filming set, and you will be able to work with and get some pointers from the master himself!  He is the first local filmmaker who get selected for Cannes.

What are the chances for my video to be selected as winners?
We are looking to pick three filmmakers and support them tp do the mini documentary.

What should I do now?
Register and start uploading your video, before April 1st 2010.  Follow the instructions in the member block link (start your film career).  Good luck!
